FIRED STAFF COORDINATED 200 ONE-STAR REVIEWS TO HIT THE RESTAURANT THAT LET HIM GO
A fictional hospitality firing turns into a public ratings war with receipts in group chat.
[FOUNDER TEST — FICTIONAL SCENARIO. NOT REAL NEWS. NOT ABOUT REAL PEOPLE.] After fictional bistro Lane & Salt terminated floor manager Eli Ortiz for “guest-facing tone,” a Discord server named “Thursday Receipts” organized a campaign to post one-star Google reviews citing food poisoning that never occurred. Fictional reviewer watchdog Plate Integrity counted 214 reviews in 36 hours from accounts with no prior dining history in the city. Owner Nina Park shared security footage of Ortiz recruiting staff off-premises. Ortiz told a fictional local site Metro Bite it was “solidarity, not sabotage.” Platform policy flags coordinated inauthentic reviews. No real businesses or people are depicted.
Revenge scales fast when the weapon is anonymous and the target is a star rating.
